ABOUT ME
I’m E.E. King, an award-winning painter, performer, writer, and naturalist. I’ll do anything that won’t pay the bills, especially if it involves animals.
My art has been collected internationally. I’ve painted murals in California, Mexico, Spain, and Italy, and shown paintings at the LA Contemporary Museum of Art.
I also write, mostly fantasy and science-fiction, though some non-fiction ( click on Nature & Science.)
I’ve been published in over 100 magazines and anthologies, including Clarkesworld, Daily Science Fiction, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Short Edition, and Flametree. Novels include, Dirk Quigby's Guide to the Afterlife: All you need to know to choose the right heaven, and several story collections.
Ray Bradbury called my stories, “marvelously inventive, wildly funny, and deeply thought-provoking.” In addition to being a magical wordsmith, he was a very nice guy.
I also co-host The Long-Lost Friends Show on Metastellar YouTube and spend summers doing bird rescue and winters planting coral …. Neither of which pays the bills, so please buy something!

Bosnia and was an advisor to the J. Paul Getty Museum and Science Center and headed their Arts & Science Development Program. I have received various international and national fellowships for art and environmental
research projects.
Among my fellowships are two International Tides Painting Fellowships and two
Earthwatch Fellowships. I served as Science and Art Coordinator with the Global
Children’s Organization (GCO), working in a Bosnian summer camp for war orphans.
My landmark mural, A Meeting of the Minds (121’ x 33’) can be seen on Mercado La
Paloma in Los Angeles, though it's pretty faded now
